How to Run Windows 10 Emulator for Chromebook?

An emulator is a software that makes a computer system (host) behave like another computer system. The host system can run the software or use a peripheral device designed as a guest system by using an emulator.

Note: Not all Chromebook can use it; only Intel laptops can take advantage of the Crossover. You also need 550MB of storage and at least 2GB of RAM.

Step 1: Install Crossover for the Chrome Operating System.

  1. Go to Personal Profile Images > Settings > Menu > Google Play Store.
  2. Click the Activate option if it is not activated.
  3. Open Play Store on your Chromebook.
  4. Download Crossover from Google Play Store.

Step 2: Prepare for Windows Program Installation

The Crossover will automatically get the installation of some Windows software. However, in addition to most of the programs, it is best to download the offline installer for the specified program.

No matter what software you want to use, you can get a complete offline installer from its site. Then, save the downloaded installer in an easy-to-find location on your Chromebook.

Step 3: Install Windows Program on Chromebook

  1. Open the Crossover.
