Create RAID 5 in a faster and easier way
To repartition Windows RAID with built-in disk management tool needs rather complicated operations, especially in setting the size. Launch MiniTool Partition Wizard, and in the disk list, right click the disk icon. In the pop-up menu, select "Create Volume" to enter into the next step:
Check "RAID 5" and click "Next" button:
In this interface, we need to select the disk space for RAID 5 volume. Select "Disk2", "Disk3", "Disk4" here and click "Add":
To reselect disk, click "Remove" or "Remove All". Click "Next" to step forwards:
We can set RAID 5 volume size in this interface. Drag the whole volume handle to change the volume position. Click "Finish" to return to main interface:
In this main interface, we can preview the newly-created RAID 5 volume. Just now we selected 40GB, but now there is 60GB in the RAID 5 volume. That is the feature of RAID 5 volume. One part of it is the parity bit of RAID 5. Thus data is secured and when there is any damage, it can repair it in time. At last, click "Apply" button to execute pending operation. MiniTool Partition Wizard will prompt us to reboot computer. Click "Restart Now". During rebooting, we will see the following interface:
After executing, the work of creating RAID 5 volume is finished.
