Support for Windows 11 Feature Updates

Microsoft keeps releasing updates for bug fixes and new features via Windows Updates. Windows 11 will get feature updates once per year and those feature updates have their own lifecycle.

How Long will Windows 11 be Supported?

According to John Cable, Windows 11 feature updates will come with 24 months of support for Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Pro Education editions. As for Windows 11 Enterprise and Education editions, Microsoft will provide 36 months of support to improve those Windows 11 editions.

The first official Windows 11 version (21H2) was released on October 5, 2021. Therefore, the support of this version will last until October 2023 for Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Pro Education editions. And its Enterprise and Education editions will be supported until October 2024.

When the support is ended, you might need to your Windows 11 to a newer version.

When Will Windows 11 Come to the End of Support?

Microsoft hasn’t announced when Microsoft will end the support of Windows 11. But Windows 10 was first released on July 15, 2015, and it will be ended in 2025. It seems that Windows 11 lifespan will be at least 10 years, too.
