If you are using an Xbox Series X/S console, the player count can go up to four when playing in the Arena mode. In addition, the player count will go down to two again when playing in the Big Team Battle mode.

How to Split Screen Halo Infinite
To play Halo Infinite split screen multiplayer, you can follow the guide below:
- Prepare a Microsoft account for each player since guest accounts are not supported in Halo Infinite.
- Load up Halo Infinite on your console and log in to your account.
- Get to the Multiplayer menu and turn on your second controller.
- Press the Menu button on the second controller.
- Sign the second controller into a different Microsoft account.
If you're playing on an Xbox Series X/S console, you can repeat this process to have a total of four players on one console. Then, you can begin searching for a match.
If you want to stop Halo Infinite split screen, you just need to press the Xbox button in the middle of the second controller and sign out of the Microsoft account tied to it.
