If you want to jump seamlessly between games on your console, you can try quick resume that is a new feature of Xbox Series X and Series S. In this post, MiniTool Partition Wizard tells you what is Xbox quick resume and how to use quick resume on series X.

What Is Xbox Quick Resume

Xbox quick resume is a new feature that allows you to jump between games without restarting them. It takes advantage of the Xbox Velocity Architecture in the next-gen Xbox console.

If you want to switch from one game to another on your console, you can use the quick resume to save the current state of the game. It’s worth noting that you can suspend up to three games at once, which means your console could keep the save of three games at the same time for you.

Tip: Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox consoles could suspend more than three games as games in these consoles use less memory.

What is more, you do not need to worry about the storage and performance of your console while using the quick resume. The storage for games and apps doesn’t change when your console keeps the quick resume save states. As the games that are saved for the quick resume are not running on the console, there’s no impact on how your console performs.

Besides, this powerful feature will still work if the Xbox Series X or Series S has been turned off, or even unplugged. Isn’t that amazing?

Tip: There may be some bugs and instances where Xbox quick resume doesn’t work as it is still under development. If the current game process is important for you, save your games as you go along.
