Step 3: Open the folder of your game version that might be _retail_”, “_classic_era_”, or “_classic_”.

Step 4: Rename your Cache, Interface, and WTF folders to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld.

After that, you can close File Explorer and run the game again to check whether the problem has been solved.

Fix 3: Restore Firewall Settings to Default

Firewalls can restrict packets or change the priority of packets, which might cause various issues, including problems connecting to Blizzard services. In this case, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the firewall for your Windows or Mac PC.

On Windows

Step 1: Press Win + R to invoke the Run window. Then input firewall.cpl and click OK.

Step 2: Select Restore Defaults on the left side.

Step 1: In the Apple menu, select System Preferences > Security.

Step 2: Select the Firewall tab and click the lock in the bottom left corner to unlock the pane. Then enter the administrator username and password.

Step 3: Click Start to enable the firewall and click Firewall Options to configure the firewall.

Step 4: Check the “Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections” option.

Step 5: Click OK to save the changes.

Fix 4: Update or Temporarily Uninstall Your Security Software
