Windows 11 Build 22543 Brings New Natural Narrator Voices

Windows 11, a new Windows operating system, was officially released to the public on October 5, 2021, by Microsoft. This new operating system is designed as the successor to Windows 10 and it is based on Windows 10.

If you are using Windows 11, you might have noticed that there are some bugs in Windows 11. It is annoying but Microsoft keeps releasing updates for bug fixes as well as some new features.

On January 27, 2022, Microsoft released a new update, Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22543. This update brings new natural narrator voices. Windows 11 Narrator’s new natural voices use modern on-device text to speech. With this feature, you can browse the web, read, and author mail using voices.

Once you download new natural narrator voices, you can use them without a network connection.

How to Download Narrator’s New Natural Voices in Windows 11

If you are running Windows 11 22543 or a later version, you will receive a message that new natural voices, Jenny and Aria, are available when you launch Windows 11 Narrator first. If you are running an older version of Windows 11, please update it first.

Now, let’s see the detailed steps about how to download Narrator’s new natural voices in Windows 11.

Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Windows Settings.

Step 2: In the left pane, select Accessibility. In the right pane, click Narrator.

Tip: You can also search for Narrator in the Windows Search utility to access it.

Step 3: You will receive a window noticing that new natural voices are available, and you can click the Install now button to install them.

Step 4: You will go back to the Narrator Settings window, and you need to click the Add button under the Add natural voices section.

Step 5: In the pop-up window, select Microsoft Jenny (Natural) – English (United States) or Microsoft Aria (Natural) – English (United States). Then click the Install button. If you want to install both Jenny and Aria, you need to repeat this step later.

Then you just need to wait until the new natural voice is installed successfully. To use the new natural voice, you can change the Narrator’s voice by selecting it from the Voice drop-down menu under the Narrator’s voice section.
