• When users' disks are eroded by viruses, the best solution to this problem is formatting partitions. However, formatting partition would undoubtedly result in data loss and users have to forsake all their data stored on the hard disk. To avoid virus, converting file system from FAT32 to NTFS is an excellent method since NTFS enjoys higher stability than FAT32.
  
  Formatting partition
  Simply speaking, formatting makes the initialization work for a hard disk so than user could store data on disk. Formatting includes high-level formatting and low-level formatting. Floppy disk merely has high-level formatting while hard disk has both high-level formatting and low-level formatting. Low-level formatting is always a preparatory step of high-level formatting.   When practicing formatting command, system marks every sector on current file allocation table as "Free" while checking whether hard disk has bad track and add "Available" mark on each sector.
