Copy partitions

  • User could copy partitions when they want to repartition disk while keeping original disk data. However, to realize this operation, user requires a partition manager, such as MiniTool Partition Wizard - a professional partition manager to copy partition, delete partition and convert file format.

    About partitioning:
A partition is a division of a logical database or its constituting elements into distinct independent parts. Disk partition is divided into main partition and extended partition among which main partition comprises the necessary file and data to start operating system and extended partition is utilized to store data and application files. Database partitioning is normally done for manageability, performance or availability reasons.
A popular and favorable application of partitioning is in a distributed database management system. Each partition may be spread over multiple nodes, and users at the node can perform local transactions on the partition. This increases performance for sites that have regular transactions involving certain views of data, whilst maintaining availability and security.
The partitioning can be done by either building separate smaller databases (each with its own tables, indices, and transaction logs), or by splitting selected elements, for example just one table.
User can copy both main partition and logical partition as long as possessing MiniTool Partition Wizard which is developed by MiniTool Solution Ltd.. MiniTool Partition Wizard is a purely green partition manager with small size and easy-to-use operations supporting NTFS4, NTFS5, FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 file formats to create partition, delete partition, format partition, wipe partition, merge partition, resize partition, copy partition, partition manager or convert file system.
