    From this interface, we can see the drive letter of the selected partition is changed from J:to *:. Click the "Apply" button and the partition will be hidden. Now let's restart the computer and see the change.

    See, in this interface, the partition J: is not displayed. Many users will doubt if the partition is lost. However, you can find the partition existed through the following steps.

    Right click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, in the pop-up shortcut menu, select "Manage" option and the following interface will appear.

    Click the "Disk Management" in the catalogue menu column on the left, and then all the disks and partitions will be found in the nearby area. From Disk 2, we can see the last partition has no drive letter and is not displayed. And it is the hidden partition we have just set.
