To recover a deleted partition, users had better resort to third party partition recovery utility, because Windows itself does not offer a good solution. And here we suggest using MiniTool Partition Wizard, for it is safe, easy to use, and powerful. Next, we will show users how to restore a partition after it has been deleted. However, for better partition recovery effect, users should pay attention to the following note: do not create new partitions in the unallocated or free space released by the deleted partition, for it may overwrite original data.
How to Restore a Deleted Partition with MiniTool Partition Wizard
Launch the partition recovery utility to enter its main interface shown below:
Then, select the disk where partition recovery will be made and choose “Partition Recovery” feature from the left pane.
Next, set scanning range for the selected disk and click “Next”. Here, 3 scanning methods are provided. If users haven’t created a new partition after deleting, choose unallocated space to scan, which can save lots of time. On the contrary, choose “Full Disk” to scan the entire disk or “Specified Range” to scan specified sectors.
Then, set scanning method for the specified scanning range and click “Next”. In general, we choose “Full Scan” for the best effect.
Next, check all needed partitions (both existing partitions and lost partitions) and click “Finish” to go back to the main interface:
Now all checked partitions are shown, but the recovered one does not have a drive letter. Pease set a drive letter for it with the function “Change Drive Letter”. At last, click “Apply” button to execute all pending changes. After application, to recover a deleted partition is finished by the partition recovery utility.
Note: if MiniTool Partition Wizard can not find the lost partition, try using Power Data Recovery to recover lost data from deleted partition.
Now users would know how to restore a partition after it has been deleted.
