    Partition
Disk partition is the independent sector that stores data and files. Disk partition is divided into main partition and extended partition among which main partition comprises the necessary file and data to start operating system and extended partition is utilized to store data and application files. Usually a disk consists of five main partitions at most when the whole disk is divided into main partition; however, if there is extended, a disk could have three main partitions maximally.
